Have you ever read the actual ingredients on commercial power bars? Hmmm, lots of not so great things in there. Here is a great alternative (takes 10 minutes max!), packed with energy, good things and no crazy ingredients!
- 1 cup fresh or soaked dried dates
- 1⁄4 cup raw walnuts
- 1⁄4 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1⁄4 cup ground flaxseed
- 1⁄4 cup ground hemp hearts
- 1 Tbsp coconut palm sugar
- 1⁄4 cup hemp seeds
- 4 TBS coconut oil
- Sea salt to taste
- 1⁄4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1⁄2 cup frozen cranberries
In a food processor, blend everything except last 2 ingredients. Add 1/4 c. walnuts, and cranberries into the mixture by hand, or pulse a couple of times. Either roll into balls, or shape into bars. Store in the fridge in a sealed glass container. Try to make them last…
