It is Italian Plum season – and at my house we haven’t been able to get enough of them. Crisps are an easy dessert to make and always a hit!

4 cups plums, sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 tablespoons arrowroot powder
1 ½ cups almond flour
½ teaspoon Himalayan salt
¼ cup melted coconut oil
¼ cup maple syrup or agave syrup

Place plum slices in a large bowl, sprinkle with lemon juice, vanilla, and arrowroot; toss to incorporate all ingredients. In a smaller bowl, combine almond flour, salt, oil and syrup/agave for topping. Place plum mixture in a 9×9 glass dish (greased) and crumble topping over plums. Bake covered at 350° for 45 minutes, until plum juice is bubbling. Remove cover and bake a few more minutes if topping is not yet browned. Let cool slightly and serve warm!
